St Patrick's College, Cavan is a boys secondary school.

November 2nd was the bicentenary of the famous Irish Mathematician George Boole. He was the first professor of Mathematics at University College Cork and the inventor of Boolean logic. George Boole is often referred to as the forefather of the Information age. Along with students in 45 other countries, students in Ms. Corcoran's first year and TY Maths class participated in a module on Boolean logic to celebrate the bicentenary. Students learned about the truth tables, logic gates and how games like Candy Crush and Mindcraft use Boolean logic to work. This workshop awarded each student who participated a certificate to aknowledge their participation in a celebration of the legacy and incredible contribution George Boole made to the digital world we live in. Well done to all those who particiapted.
